Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Two persons from Gujarat were arrested for allegedly carrying out digital arrests and extorting large sums of money from people by sending links on WhatsApp, on Monday. Police seized two mobile phones from their possession.
Police said that Pankaj Bhai and Sallu Sailesh from Gujarat were apprehended by the cybercrime police for extracting Rs 1.66 lakh from a resident of the town recently, by threatening to arrest him through a WhatsApp link.
