Strictly Come Dancing favourite to replace Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman has been named ahead of their departure.

Just weeks into the 2025 series of Strictly Come Dancing, hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman shocked viewers of the BBC show by making their exit announcement.

Tess joined the show in 2004 before hosting alongside the legendary broadcaster, Sir Bruce Forsyth. He decided to step down from the role in 2010, where Claudia Winkleman took on the role.

They have since become staples of the hit programme, with the 2025 run, series 23, marking Strictly's 21st year on the air.

The duo will be bidding farewell to the BBC dancefloor at the end of the current series and they announced the shock news on social media on Thursday (October 23) in a joint statement,
