The Romeo, Lakeview and Richmond school districts are among the school systems in Macomb County asking voters to approve a bond proposal in the Nov. 4 election.

“We are asking our community to consider the zero tax increase facilities bond proposal,” said a statement by Todd Robinson, superintendent of Romeo Community Schools. “This special election was called by the board of education at its July regular meeting after nearly a year of preparation.”

Robinson said the board is excited about the opportunity to secure $62 million in funding to support the completion of the district’s long-range facilities plan, which was created with community input gathered through focus panels and a community-wide survey.
