Centre approves Rs 5,500 crore investment under ECMS for seven electronic component projects to expand local manufacturing

Centre has cleared seven projects worth Rs 5,532 crore under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced on October 27. The projects, spread across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, aim to reduce import dependence and strengthen domestic electronics production.
