The Government-backed Made Smarter programme, which supports manufacturing SMEs to invest in new digital technology, has expanded in the North East as part of the Government’s new modern Industrial Strategy.

Recognising the impact of the Advanced Manufacturing sector in attracting business investment and delivering growth in the UK economy, the expansion of the Made Smarter programme will mean more manufacturing businesses across the North East region can adopt industry 4.0 and grow their operations using smart technology.
