The Wi-Fi wars are taking off as Southwest Airlines gets more passengers online by unlocking free in-flight internet access to customers enrolled in its Rapid Rewards program. While charging for internet has long been an extra revenue stream for airlines, by 2026, all of the top carriers plan to offer the service for free on domestic flights.
