NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - On Monday night (Oct. 27) in the Smoothie King Center, one team will earn its first win of the season.
The Pelicans (0-2) are hoping that they can put one in the win column when they host the lowly Boston Celtics, who have lost three straight to open the season.
According to FOX Sports, the Pelicans are 3-point favorites at home over the Celtics.
The Celtics are no longer the same team that won an NBA Championship in 2024, following several key departures. Jrue Holiday was traded to Portland in a deal to bring the younger Anfernee Simons to Boston. Kristaps Porzingis was dealt to Atlanta in a three-team deal. Al Horford left in free agency for Golden State. Luke Kornet signed a more lucrative contract with San Antonio.
