John Dickerson , co-anchor of CBS Evening News who has been with the network since 2009, said that he is exiting at the end of this year.

“I am extremely grateful for all that CBS gave me— the work, the audience’s attention and the honor of being a part of the network’s history— and I am grateful for my dear colleagues who’ve made me a better journalist and a better human. I will miss you,” Dickerson said.

Along with Maurice DuBois, Dickerson has anchored CBS Evening News since January. The duo presided over a format change that emphasized stories from correspondents in the field. But the broadcast has lagged in the ratings, while new editor in chief Bari Weiss is said to be eyeing an overhaul of the network’s signature newscast.
