Mangaluru, Oct 27: “If the high command decides, I will continue as the chief minister for five years,” said chief minister Siddaramaiah on Monday, amid ongoing political developments within the Congress.

Responding to reporters’ questions, Siddaramaiah said, “Competition is a right in democracy. Ultimately, if the high command decides, I will continue as CM for five years.”

Responding to a question on whether the SIT report would be submitted this month, CM said the home minister had issued statements in that regard and that he was unaware of it.
