BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Changes continue to come for the LSU football coaching staff as the university announced the firing of offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan Monday morning.
Sloan initially joined the LSU coaching staff as the quarterbacks coach in 2022 and was promoted to offensive coordinator in January 2024.
In the SEC, LSU ranks No. 12 in scoring, No. 6 in passing offense and No. 14 in total offense.
Last season, Sloan led the Tigers to No. 5 overall in passing yards per game in the country and second in the SEC for passing yards per game. During his time at LSU, Sloan coached Jayden Daniels, Malik Nabers, and Brian Thomas.
