42nd Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament: Indian Railways secure Quarterfinal Spot; Punjab & Sind Bank exit

Jalandhar (Punjab), October 27, 2025:Former champions Punjab & Sind Bank Delhi registered their first win in the 42nd Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament by defeating the Indian Air Force 2-1. However, despite the victory, the team failed to qualify for the quarterfinals on the basis of goal average.

On the fifth day of the tournament, held at the Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium, Jalandhar, Indian Railways Delhi secured a 2-0 win over Army XI Delhi to confirm their berth in the quarterfinals.

In Pool B, Punjab & Sind Bank Delhi took the lead in the 35th minute through Jaskaran Singh, before Indian Air Force’s Rahul Rajbhar equalised in the 37th minute.
