LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Police said Monday that a woman’s death in northeast Lincoln appears to be another case of domestic violence.
Joshua Meyers, 40, of Lincoln was released from a hospital on Saturday and taken to the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder.
Captain Ben Miller said the situation began the evening of Oct. 21, more than 36 hours before police entered 43-year-old Tracy Henman’s northeast Lincoln home and found her.
Her family called 911 Thursday morning after Henman didn’t show up for work on Wednesday and Thursday and became suspicious.
Several officers responded to the home minutes later and found Henman and Meyers inside. LPD has confirmed that the two were in a relationship and no protection orders had been filed.
