OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The Omaha Police Department has arrested a man in connection to a deadly shooting earlier this month.
In an update Monday, OPD says 18-year-old Tranell Woodruff was arrested on charges of first-degree murder and use of a gun to commit a felony.
The suspect was booked Saturday at Douglas County Corrections following the murder of 27-year-old Dequrae Murrel. Murrel was shot on Oct. 5 and she died in the hospital on Oct. 6.

Police believe Murrel was found miles away from where the actual shooting took place.
