MIDDLETOWN, CT (WFSB) - Drive teams were activated in the Connecticut River in Middletown on Monday morning.

Middletown firefighters said they were called to an area of Harbor Park around 10:30 a.m.

“Units will be operating in the Connecticut River and around Harbor Park,” they posted to social media. “Please stay clear of the area.”

They said they were receiving help from the South Fire District and the Portland Fire Department.

No other details were released.

Channel 3 is working to learn more.

The incident marked the second time in less than a week that dive teams were activated in the same area.
