LEDYARD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Ledyard man was arrested after allegedly drinking and driving with a flat tire on Friday, according to police.
Police said just before 6 p.m., they received calls of a driver going north on Route 12 with a flat tire, who appeared to be drinking alcohol.
Authorities found the vehicle and said a man who seemed intoxicated was in the car, with multiple empty alcohol bottles allegedly in the front seat, according to police.
The vehicle also had a missing left front tire, and the rim was ground down from driving on the pavement, police said.
Orie Plasse, 35, was arrested after allegedly failing a sobriety test.
Plasse was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, and unsafe tires. He was issued a $5,000 non-surety bond and is expected to appear
