NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven police say a 32-year-old was injured in what appears to be a targeted shooting Sunday night.

Officers were dispatched to Maltby Place following a ShotSpotter notification and subsequent 911 calls reporting someone had been shot, all around 8:42 p.m.

Police said the 32-year-old Hamden man was located on scene. He was transported to a hospital for injuries determined to be non-life threatening, according to police.

Police aid it appears the patient and suspect are known to each other and the shooting was targeted.
