MISHAWAKA, Ind. (WNDU) - A rough section of track that’s been causing headaches for drivers in Mishawaka is now getting fixed.

The crossing we are referring to is on Jefferson Boulevard near Chestnut Street (between Division Street and Cedar Street).

Our WNDU 16 News Now I-Team spoke with a frustrated driver last month who crosses the track multiple times a day. She says it’s so rough, she’s witnessed multiple near-accidents from drivers trying to avoid certain spots.

On Monday morning, the City of Mishawaka announced that the crossing will close for the next few days so it can be resurfaced.

The crossing closed at 11 a.m. If the weather allows, the track will open Friday.
