President Donald Trump did not appear to rule out his political future in the 2028 election.

While speaking to reporters on Air Force One early Monday, Trump was asked about remarks from former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, who declared that Trump is “going to get a third term” during an interview with The Economist released Thursday.

“So Trump 28,” said Bannon, the host of the “War Room” podcast. “Trump is gonna be president in 28, and people just ought to get accommodated with that.”

Bannon also said there are “many different alternatives” for Trump to stay in office, but did not provide specific details, despite the 22nd Amendment of the Constitution, which prohibits any U.S. citizen from serving more than two terms as president.
