BROWN COUNTY, Ohio —
Police have identified the driver accused in the fatal hit-and-run crash that left a 22-year-old man dead.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened sometime early Friday morning along State Route 125 in Jefferson Township. Advertisement
OSP said a Rumpke driver spotted a body along the roadway and called 911.
OSP said it was determined the man was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as 22-year-old Caleb Holbert, from Russellville.
OSP said on Friday, a Ford vehicle part was located on scene, and the suspect vehicle may be of that make.
On Monday, OSP said it has identified the driver of the Ford Escape that is suspected of hitting Holbert. WLWT is not naming the driver since n
