MANDAN, ND (KXNET) — Morton County announced on October 27, 2025, that it will be changing the system it uses to send emergency alerts to residents. Morton County will begin using Hyper-Reach, a next-generation mass notification system, to replace CodeRED.
"The only thing that will change is an increase in our ability to use better technology," said Patrick Martin, Director of Emergency Management for Morton County. "We can attach photographs, maps, links to alters, which we couldn't before with the CodeRED."
With the change, Morton County residents will need to enroll in the new system via the link provided by Morton County or by calling or texting 701-498-1770. Enrollment begins November 1; however, CodeRED will remain in service in Morton County through the end of the year. Starting J
