These Colorado areas are among most expensive zip codes in US

DENVER (KDVR) — Two Colorado mountain areas are some of the most expensive in the nation, according to a new study.

PropertyShark, a real estate database, released its annual ranking of the most expensive zip codes based on the median sale prices of houses. Between some commonly known expensive spots like Miami Beach in Florida and Los Angeles, two Colorado counties also made the list.

The study found that most of the expensive zip codes were mostly coastal, but it also included popular mountainside towns in Colorado known for their costs.

No. 42: Aspen

Out of the top 100 most expensive zip codes, Aspen ranked as the No. 42 most expensive in the country, with this year's median sales price landing at $2.8 million.
