KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Former Kansas State Wildcat Tyler Lockett is joining a divisional rival of the Kansas City Chiefs.
On Monday, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that Lockett is signing with the Las Vegas Raiders following a recent release from the Tennessee Titans. According to reports, Lockett requested his release from the Titans following their 1-6 start, and the team granted it.
The 33-year-old former star at Kansas State is in his 11th NFL season. This is his first season not spent as a member of the Seattle Seahawks.
Lockett, a one-time Pro Bowl and All-Pro selection, had 10 receptions for 70 yards through seven games in Tennessee.
In joining the Raiders, he gets to team up with Geno Smith, his former quarterback in Seattle that now leads the Las Vegas offense.
