With Halloween fast approaching and trick-or-treaters set to roam neighborhoods this Friday evening, the Warren Police Department is warning parents that snacks that appear to be standard chips and candy could contain THC and psilocybin mushroom products.

On Oct. 23, Warren police detectives executed a search warrant at a Warren residence as part of an ongoing investigation. During the search, officers discovered several bags of chips, snacks, and candy that appeared to be regular snacks. A closer examination determined that many of the items contained THC and psilocybin mushroom products.

The packaging, Warren police said, made the products look like regular, well-known candies and snacks.
