Former running back Adrian Peterson was arrested on Sunday in Texas for driving while intoxicated and unlawfully carrying a weapon.
Peterson was taken into custody around 9:30 a.m. in Sugar Land, Texas, according to KHOU 11 .
Peterson, 40, was drafted No. 7 overall in 2007 by the Vikings. He was the 2012 MVP and a three-time league rushing champion across his 15-year career.
Peterson was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving in Minneapolis in April after appearing at an NFL draft party for Vikings fans. He was pulled over for speeding before his arrest in Minnesota. There were no further details about his arrest in Texas, and there was no information on an attorney for him.
