There was plenty of note-worthy action over the last week in the area, with strong performances from high school athletes all across Central Wisconsin to open up postseason play.

From Marshfield, Stevens Point, Wausau and Wisconsin Rapids athletes delivered key performances to help their teams come away with victories.

Boys soccer:

Sivan Dinga, Stevens Point: Dinga scored a pair of goals in SPASH’s 3-0 victory over Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln on Oct. 21.

Landon Gray, D.C. Everest: Gray scored two goals for D.C. Evereest in a 5-1 win over Appleton West on Oct. 21.

Ayden Kazda, Amherst: Kazda cashed in
