The handwritten lyrics for one of Oasis’ biggest hits have been sold for a five-figure sum at auction - with other items surpassing the six-figure mark.
Noel Gallagher’s notes of what would become Don’t Look Back in Anger, scribbled down in blue ink on a white sheet of unlined paper, were sold for more than £20,000 on Friday (October 24).
First featured on the Manchester band’s second album (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, released in 1995, the track has gone on to be considered one of their biggest songs ever. It was performed during the band’s 2025 reunion tours, which included a series of shows at Heaton Park earlier this summer.
The song is notable amongst fans for being the first Oasis single to feature Noel as lead vocalist. Released as a single in February 1
