NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTNH) -- One of the three people facing charges in connection to the death of 11-year-old Jacqueline "Mimi" Torres-Garcia, whose remains were found in New Britain on Oct. 8, is facing two additional charges.

According to the City of New Britain, Jonatan Nanita, the boyfriend of Mimi's mother, was charged with disposal of a dead body and tampering with physical evidence last Wednesday. New Britain police did not say whether these new charges are related to Mimi's death.

Nanita was initially charged in Farmington with murder, conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with evidence. He was arrested in Waterbury on Oct. 13.
