A Pittsburgh worker suffered a catastrophic injury after falling 50 feet at Acrisure Stadium.
The horrific accident took place on Saturday, October 25, when an NBC Sports videographer fell roughly 50 feet from the Steelers’ scoreboard one day before the team took on the Green Bay Packers. The videographer, who has not been publicly identified, fell around 10 p.m. as preparations for the game were underway.
“At ~ 10 p.m., EMS, Fire and Police responded to Acrisure Stadium for a male worker who had fallen ~ 50 ft from the main scoreboard onto a mid-level catwalk. Rescue medics were able to reach him and lower him to safety,” the X account for Pittsburgh Public Safety noted in the early hours of Sunday, October 26. “He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.”
