COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A Colorado Springs man has been sentenced to decades in prison for killing a 62-year-old woman outside a Bingo hall.
In April 2024, police say Dorothy King was unloading her pickup in the Bingo World parking lot when then-33-year-old Nathaniel Buchmann attacked her. During the ensuing struggle, King was flung from her vehicle and ran over multiple times. Despite life-saving efforts, the mother of two died in the parking lot.
“I was devastated. I thought it was a joke at first, I even asked the officer on the phone if this was a joke,” daughter Francis King-Johnson told 11 News at the time .
Buchmann left the scene but was arrested the next day. He initially pleaded not guilty before reversing course and pleading guilty to second-degree murder and firs
