A freeze warning has been issued for several western New York counties from 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, through 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, according to the National Weather Service in Buffalo .
The warning includes Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, Northern Cayuga, Northern Erie, and Genesee counties, covering cities such as Buffalo, Rochester, Batavia, Medina, Newark, and Niagara Falls.
How cold will it get
Temperatures are expected to drop into the upper 20s to near 30 degrees, with slightly warmer conditions along the immediate Lake Ontario shoreline.
