Starbucks customers might see labor issues and lattes collide when they visit stores this week.

Kentucky is among dozens of states that will see employees picketing and staging rallies at Starbucks shops as part of labor actions, according to Starbucks Workers United .

The organization, which says it represents more than 12,000 baristas in 45 states and the District of Columbia, is in the midst of a week of demonstrations taking place at 70 Starbucks in 60 cities through Nov. 2.

In addition, union members have starting voting on whether to authorize an unfair labor practice strike in the future, according to the union, which represents about 550 union-organized Starbucks locations.
