Penn State is expected two have veteran linemen back for its Big Ten matchup with No. 1 Ohio State on Saturday afternoon in Columbus.
Left guard Vega Ioane, a second-team All-Big Ten choice in 2024, did not play in the Nittany Lions’ 25-24 loss to Iowa in Iowa City on Oct. 18.
Ioane was listed as out on the PSU availability report.
Edge rusher Zuriah Fisher, a starter opposite Dani Dennis-Sutton, left the Iowa game early and did not return.
Penn State interim head coach Terry Smith offered updates on those two players on Monday afternoon, and he was asked about reserve quarterback Jaxon Smolik and second-year offensive lineman Cooper Cousins.
Asked about Ioane and Cousins, Smith said: “Both of those guys will be available this week. We’re looking forward to getting those guys back
