Cyclist badly hurt in crash with van in Bristol city centre

A cyclist was injured in a collision with a van in the city centre of Bristol this evening (Monday, October 27).

Avon and Somerset Police were called to Counterslip, in Redcliffe , at the junction with Victoria Street at around 5pm.

A van and a cyclist were involved in the crash at the junction.

The cyclist was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Police remain at the scene this evening conducting enquiries, and a number of road closures are in effect.
