WASHINGTON — Jon Stewart is reportedly working to remain as the host of "The Daily Show."
Stewart, who left the late-night show in 2015 and returned in early 2024, said he's working to sign another contract with Comedy Central during a conversation at the New Yorker Festival on Sunday. The comedian's contract as host for the show will end in December.
The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline reported Monday that Stewart said if the decision were up to him, he'd stay as host. Currently, the 62-year-old Emmy winner hosts the show only on Mondays.
