Tourism bosses say Glasgow is a "key part" in their push to boost UK and overseas tourism in Scotland.
A new marketing push from Visit Scotland, supported by £2 million in additional funding from the Scottish Government, will look to encourage travel to Scotland during the autumn and winter months
It comes as the personal financial circumstances of domestic visitors continue to influence their travel behaviour. New official figures for Glasgow show there were an average of 1,903,000 overnight trips from domestic visitors (GBTS) to the city in 2024, and 736,000 overnight trips from international visitors.
Visit Scotland will work with global travel agencies Expedia and Tripadvisor, as well as influencers and media platforms, to promote what Glasgow has to offer.
