Recently, Spotify announced a partnership with Netflix that will bring 16 video podcasts to Netflix in 2026. The shows in the deal are from Spotify Studios and The Ringer , and are as follows:
Sports:
Non-Sports:
Notably, this deal prevents full episodes from continuing to air on YouTube, which today serves as the hub for most video podcasts. Considering YouTube is Netflix’s biggest competitor ( other than sleep ), this makes sense. But what’s most interesting about the streamer’s inaugural podcast slate is what isn’t included. While the first wave spans the areas of sports, pop culture, and true crime, it does not feature a single comedy title — surprising, given Netflix’s long-established affinity for comedy, and reputation as a new leader in the space.
