Mississippi Blood Services urgently calling for platelet donors

Mississippi Blood Services is urging eligible donors to give platelets to help patients across the state who rely on these lifesaving transfusions every day.

Donations can be made at the organization’s Flowood Center, located at 115 Tree Street, Flowood, MS.

Officials say every donation helps hospital patients who are fighting cancer, undergoing surgery, or facing traumatic injuries.

Those willing to donate are encouraged to roll up a sleeve and make an appointment or walk in at the Flowood location.
