CLEVELAND, Ohio – To help balance the budget amid numerous fiscal strains, Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne is proposing eliminating support for one entity that provides transitional housing for the homeless.
Ronayne is recommending slashing $799,000 from North Point Transitional Housing’s budget in 2026 and zeroing out funding entirely in 2027. His office said it can’t justify budgeting for a program that recently closed its doors due to “significant health and safety risks,” and has not released plans for reopening.
