A St. Paul man is facing charges for allegedly putting a hit out on U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Tyler Maxon Avalos, 30, is accused of making a TikTok post offering a $45,000 reward for Bondi "dead or alive" but "preferably dead," along with an image of Bondi showing a "sniper-scope red dot" on her forehead.
The post was reported on Oct. 9 to the FBI, which traced the account with anarchist references to Avalos, per court documents.
Avalos was charged on Oct. 16 in Minnesota District Court. He appeared in court and was released on bond last week.
Court documents for Avalos list a 2022 felony stalking conviction and a 2016 misdemeanor domestic assault conviction in Minnesota. CBS News reports that he also was convicted of felony third-degree domestic battery in Florida in 2016.
