LANSING, Iowa — Crews are making significant progress on the construction of the new Black Hawk Bridge, as steel is being set to eventually span the river.

An update shared this morning from the Iowa side of the project highlighted the ongoing developments. The construction team is actively working, with the new bridge expected to open in spring 2027.

Meanwhile, work on the car ferry continues, with plans to launch it in early November. The old bridge was permanently closed last week.
