The Washington Commanders have signed kicker Matthew Wright to the practice squad and elevated him as well as defensive tackle Sheldon Day to the gameday roster.
The Commanders have also released wide receiver Robbie Chosen from the practice squad.
Wright, an undrafted free agent from Central Florida, has appeared in 30 games over his six-year NFL career and spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs, Carolina Panthers, San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans, where he played in one game earlier this season. For his career, Wright is 87.5% (56-of-64) on his field goal kicks and 95.5% (42-of-44) on his extra point attempts. He has a career-long of 59-yards, which he hit during his first stint with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022.
