ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) — The City of Albuquerque has renamed the Singing Arrow Child Development Center in honor of a New Mexico leader. The early learning facility is now officially renamed as the "Clara Padilla Andrews Early Learning Center."

The building honors Andrews, as she is recognized as a trailblazer for equity, education, and empowerment. She served as New Mexico's Secretary of State from 1983 to 1986 where she broke barriers for Hispanic and female representation in public office.
