RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford is announcing a million-dollar settlement with online clothing retailer TFG Holding.
The settlement resolves claims that company deceptively marketed its VIP Membership Program to consumers and made it difficult to cancel.
“These kinds of deceptive practices are becoming far too common in online shopping,”said AG Ford. “TFG Holding, Inc. failed to disclose key information about its membership and fees. This settlement sends a clear message to companies that rely on misleading sales tactics: if you charge people without their consent or keep billing them for things they don’t want, you will be held responsible.”
According to Ford, the company offered discounted pricing to customers if they enrolled in their VIP Membership Program. On
