AUSTIN, Texas — Stuart Reilly has been named the new general manager of Austin Energy , the city announced on Monday.

Reilly, who has served as the utility’s interim general manager, will officially start on Sunday, Nov. 2.

He brings nearly two decades of experience in public power, including six years in executive leadership at Austin Energy. His background includes utility operations, grid resilience, clean energy and financial strategy. City officials said Reilly has demonstrated strong leadership in driving long-term utility performance.

Reilly has twice served as interim general manager and previously held two deputy general manager roles, most recently overseeing business services such as finance, technology, employee development and support services.
