SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. — A Bullitt Central High School student is recovering after she was struck by a vehicle Monday morning outside an elementary school in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.

A 16-year-old girl was hit by a car in front of Roby Elementary, located at 1148 KY-44 in Shepherdsville, according to the Shepherdsville Police Department.

The girl was crossing the area of Five Star on KY-44 when she was struck. Authorities say she was conscious at the scene.

The driver did stop and attempt to render aid to the victim and an officer responded to the scene.

While Shepherdsville Police say they aren't sure of her current condition, they believe she should survive the incident.
