Uncontacted tribes could be wiped out in a decade warn indigenous leaders (dubbed)

Living in forests across the globe there remain 196 groups of indigenous people who are ‘uncontacted’ by the outside world.

While laws in theory respect their rights to their land, their survival is under imminent threat from industries like mining and logging, climate change, Christian missionaries and now online influencers making cash from exploration videos.

A new report from Survival International is warning 50% of uncontacted people could be wiped out within ten years. The actor Richard Gere has long championed their cause, in an exclusive TV interview we met him and Lucas Manchineri from the Brazilian Amazon.
