Michigan gas prices jumped nearly 30 cents since last week, to $3.08 per gallon for regular unleaded, AAA – The Auto Group announced Monday.

The price is 2 cents more than a month ago and a nickel less than this same time in 2024, officials said.

Motorists in the state are paying an average of $46 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline, AAA said.

Meanwhile, average gas prices in Detroit climbed nearly 18 cents in the last week, averaging $3 on Monday, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 1,734 stations. GasBuddy reported prices are 8 cents lower than a month ago and 18 cents per gallon cheaper than last year.
