CALERA, Ala. ( WSFA ) - A fugitive wanted in Montgomery for car theft has been arrested in Calera for a series of other crimes, according to the Calera Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of a person trespassing at Glidewell Foundry shortly after 3:30 a.m. Monday.
The man refused to identify himself to police and was taken to the Calera City Jail.
Officers shared a photo of the man for help identifying him and Clanton police recognized the man as a suspect wanted in a Montgomery car theft.
Officers then responded to an earlier call about suspicious activity on I-65 just south of Calera in Chilton County. There, they found the stolen vehicle from Montgomery, confirming the suspect’s identity as Roderick Wright.
Wright is charged with second-degree trespassing, resisting
