PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- Peoria police said they are investigating the scene where two juveniles were shot near Trewyn Middle School.
The original call for police was at West Starr and South Ligonier Streets on a report of two boys being shot, Peoria police spokesperson Semone Roth said.
Roth said one of the boys had a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The second boy was grazed in the hand and sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The ages of the boys has not been confirmed and suspect information has not been released at this time.
This incident remains an active investigation in the area.
