An internal investigation is underway after Baltimore police officers shot and killed a dog and wounded the owner.
Kyle Sharpe, the dog’s owner, is mourning his dog, Roscoe, as he recovers from dog bite injuries to his hand and arm. He made it very clear that he does not blame the dog or police for what happened.
“He stood over me and snapped. His pupils got very big. It wasn’t him,” Sharpe told WBAL-TV 11 News.
City police said officers were called around 4:45 p.m. Sunday to a house in Mount Vernon for a report of an aggressive dog.
Sharpe is also recovering from a gunshot wound he suffered as officers tried to get control of the animal.
